Deidre Cochran

Deidre is a biracial, Black Minneapolis-based actor and educator. A Georgia native, Deidre got bit by the theatre bug after seeing Little Shop of Horrors on Broadway. She set her sights on a life in the arts and never looked back. After graduating from Brenau University with a BA in Theatre, Deidre worked with Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre. She toured the Midwest, developing a passion for introducing young people to theatre and fell in love with the city of Minneapolis.

In 2016, Deidre decided to move to Minneapolis to continue her professional acting career. Since then, she has performed in a number of musicals across the Twin Cities with Theater Latte Da, Children’s Theatre Company, Artistry and Theatre Elision . You can view her full resume here. Deidre works primarily as an actor, but she is looking to develop her skills as a director.
